UNIFIED CARRIER REGISTRATION

Know the Facts:

The Unified Carrier Registration is a federal mandate per Code of Federal Regulations Title 49 Section 367.An annual payment for the UCR is required for all companies with an active U.S. DOT number that are engaged in interstate commerce and/or transporting goods that originate or have a destination outside of the company base state (e.g. containers/intermodal).

Processing of the 2019 UCR begins October 1 2018. The U.S. DOT is currently working on approving a new filng system. Therefore the 2019 UCR applications may be processed anytime after October 1 pending further notice.

Early Filings (pre-October) are now open and are highly encouraged. Early filings help spread application volume across a larger period of time to prevent last-minute filings which may result in delays. To incentivize early filings UCR Portal offers a discount on the 2019 UCR processing fee. Simply type the discount code "UCR2019EARLY" to file the 2019 UCR at a reduced rate.
